Australia and New Zealand have had easy wins in Round 1 of the Quad World Series Cup today.

Australia recovered from 82/5 to rack up 244/6, led by a blazing 132 not out by Sri Lankan Test player Suresh Perera. Perera hit 13 fours and 7 sixes in his 85-ball innings, which was the third-highest score in O40I history.
The shell-shocked Canadians folded for just 118, with only West Indies ODI player Royston Crandon showing any resistance, with 63, hitting 5 sixes of his own. Crandon took 3/34 from 9 overs with the ball in an excellent all-round display.
New Zealand made a steady start with the bat but threw away their innings somewhat, collapsing from 141/3 to 175 all out and not even using their full allotment of overs. Ajay Sharma took 4/27, including a hat-trick to end the innings.
However, New Zealand made steady inroads with the ball and none of the American batsmen could pass 25. Four Kiwi bowlers took 2 wickets each as the USA were rolled for 104.
In the A series, the same two teams had wins. Australia A (280/4) beat Canada A (115) by 165 runs and New Zealand overtook USA’s 113 for the loss of just two wickets.
