Australia stamped their authority and secured a spot in the semi-finals of the IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025 with a convincing 9-wicket victory over Zimbabwe today.
Zimbabwe after batting first posted 145-8 in their innings. Saad Khan scored a half century. Peter Atkinson and Mark Cleary took 2 wickets each. In reply, Australia smoothly chased the target on the back of unbeaten 85 runs knock from Jeff Hemming.
Hemmings’ superb unbeaten 85 off 57 balls powers Australia into the semi final of the inaugural International Masters Cricket over 40s T20 World Cup, where they’ll take on South Africa.
Game scheduled for 3pm AEDT on Saturday. The winner will take on the winner of Paksitan vs USA in the World Cup Final at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium.
